Blood Money Honey, L.L.C.
I founded Blood Money Honey, L.L.C. in 2020 in Ames, Iowa after doing years of dreaming and research on the keeping of bees. Beekeeping can be expensive, so to get the money I needed to buy equipment and bees — and to help provide life-saving medicines to those in need — I started donating blood plasma at a local plasma donation center. That's where the name Blood Money Honey came from…it was literally born out of my blood, sweat, and tears! With that "blood money" I bought my first colony of bees and launched Blood Money Honey. I still donate plasma today for bee money and to help those who need plasma-based therapeutics.

Since 2020, Blood Money Honey has grown from a single colony of bees at a single apiary to multiple colonies at multiple apiaries around Story County. I proudly sell pure, raw Iowa honey, the best in the world! I also sell beeswax, beehives, and other bee products. I also trap and catch swarms all over Central Iowa (see swarm rescue page). I also remove already established colonies of bees from structures (see bee removal page).
